The Triquetra (aka the Trinity Celtic Knot) In Copper.

€20.00

Triquetra unisex talisman pendant,

Triquetra means three-cornered and connects deeply with the power of three. The meaning varies in different religions and cultures, but the concept of interconnectedness and infinity seem to be the foundation for all groups. In Celtic culture, it is seen as a symbol of unity and protection. In Norse tradition, it represents the power of three. In the pagan perspective, it represents the maiden/mother/crone. In the Christian tradition, it represents the father/son/holy spirit. Others believe it represents birth/life/death and or earth/air/water.

The triquetra is sometimes seen as a protective symbol, believed to ward off negative energies or bring good fortune. It is thought to create a protective shield around the wearer or the area where it is displayed.

The interwoven nature of the triquetra’s design is often associated with eternal love, unity, and the concept of never-ending cycles. It can symbolize the interconnectedness of relationships, the past, present, and future, or the interdependence of body, mind, and spirit.

Its loops symbolize the connection between generations, highlighting the importance of passing down love, memories, and stories.

The triquetra, also referred to as the Celtic Trinity Knot, holds considerable importance in Irish and Scottish Christian art, particularly since the Celtic revival of the 19th century. The Celtic trinity knot meaning is deeply rooted in its symbolic representation of the Holy Trinity.

The triquetra is thought to be the oldest symbol of spirituality. It is depicted in the 9th century Book of Kells and also appears in Norwegian stave churches from the 11th century.

The elaborate Triquetra, also known as the Trinity Knot or Celtic Triangle, is one of the most beautiful Irish Celtic symbols and it shows a circle interwoven with a continuous three-pointed symbol.
